Cyfronet joins BDVA

The Academic Computer Centre Cyfronet AGH has officially joined the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) – an organization bringing together over 200 institutions from across Europe that shape the future of artificial intelligence, big data, and digital technologies.

Cyfronet's membership in the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) brings a range of strategic benefits — both for the Centre itself and for Poland's digital innovation ecosystem.

Key benefits:

• Access to European research and development programs. Cyfronet gains privileged access to projects under Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, and initiatives such as the AI, Data and Robotics Partnership.

• Influence on shaping EU digital policy. As a BDVA member, Cyfronet can actively participate in consultations regarding regulations, standards, and strategies in the field of data and AI.

• Greater visibility on the international stage. Participation in BDVA enables Cyfronet to showcase its achievements in European forums, including events such as the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF).

• Expansion of networks and partnerships. Membership facilitates participation in project consortia and collaboration with leading companies, universities, and research institutes.

• Co-creation of standards and guidelines for AI and Big Data. Cyfronet can take part in the work of BDVA task forces that develop technological and ethical recommendations for AI development in Europe.

• Access to knowledge and experimental resources. BDVA provides access to research infrastructure, test data, tools, and the i-Spaces network.

• Strategic influence on BDVA development directions. Members have voting rights in the general assembly and can initiate new topics, events, and task forces.
