Comprehensive general LUMI course - 3-6.10.2023
A hybrid (onsite and online) comprehensive introduction to the LUMI architecture and programming environment.
It will include lessons on compiling and using software, programming models (HIP and OpenMP offload), porting, executing jobs, and optimizing applications to run on AMD MI250X. After completing the course, you will be able to work efficiently on both the CPU (LUMI-C) and the GPU partition (LUMI-G).
Comprehensive general LUMI course will take place from 3rd to 6th October 2023, onsite in IBIB PAN in Warsaw (Poland), and online via Zoom.
It will include lessons on compiling and using software, programming models (HIP and OpenMP offload), porting, executing jobs, and optimizing applications to run on AMD MI250X. After completing the course, you will be able to work efficiently on both the CPU (LUMI-C) and the GPU partition (LUMI-G).
LUMI is currently the fastest European supercomputer, which, regarding the TOP500 list from May 2023, took the third position among the most powerful supercomputers of the world. Thanks to fact that Poland become a member of the LUMI Consortium, Polish scientists are able to use the LUMI supercomputer. The access is granted by PLGrid Infrastructure.
The course is free of charge. It will be jointly conducted by the experts from LUMI HPE Centre of Excellence (HPE CoE), AMD and the LUMI User Support Team (LUST). Registration deadline is 25th September, 4 PM (CET). The number of places is limited.
