At the headquarters of ACC Cyfronet AGH, a letter of intent was signed regarding cooperation between the City of Krakow and the AGH University of Krakow
The cooperation will focus on one of the key areas of modern economy and science - cybersecurity. By combining technological and scientific potential, the Digital Shield of Krakow aims to provide significant support in quickly responding to cyberattacks and in procedures to prevent them.
Under the agreement, the AGH University of Krakow and the City of Krakow commit to the following actions:
- mutual information sharing about cybersecurity events and incidents,
- developing joint procedures for responding to threats,
- implementing monitoring principles for the telecommunication infrastructure of the City of Krakow, enabling more effective detection and response to cyber threats,
- developing technologies and data exchange principles for joint analyses and scientific research.
One of the technical elements that will be used to build the Digital Shield of Krakow will be the Helios supercomputer installed at ACC Cyfronet AGH - the fastest supercomputer in Poland.
