On December 3rd, the second Open Call for Innovation Studies was launched. This initiative aims to support the technological development of European SMEs in the fields of generative artificial intelligence and High-Performance Computing (HPC). Its goal is to empower European companies to push the boundaries of technology with next-generation AI models such as Large Language Models (LLMs).
Who can participate?
- SMEs and startups from Europe and countries eligible for Horizon Europe.
- Research organizations can join as supporting partners in consortia.
- Consortia may consist of 1 to 3 partners (including 1 SME and 1–2 supporting partners, such as SMEs or public/research institutions).
Available funding: up to €300,000 per proposal (for a consortium with supporting partners), up to €200,000 for the main participant – the SME.
Deadline for submissions: February 25, 2026, 17:00 (Brussels time), or until 250 proposals have been received.
