- Aim:
- The DVPS project aims to develop multimodal fundamental model (MMFM) technologies that use different data types and modalities to efficiently solve tasks in multiple domains. DVPS focuses on developing methods that are generalizable across domains, creating integrated frameworks for MMFMs, and developing algorithms and techniques to support their extension to new modalities. The project will develop tools such as AutoDVPS (automation of MMFM design) and DVPSBench (a benchmarking platform for MMFM evaluation). Key application areas include cardiology, geo-intelligence and language communication, as well as so-called “surprising domains” to stimulate innovation.
- ACC Cyfronet AGH:
- ACC Cyfronet AGH main role in the DVPS project is to support HPC infrastructure activities by:
- Optimizing and testing the HPC infrastructure, including scalability and cost analysis of MMFM training.
- Facilitating the transfer of software and data between HPC clusters and providing secure data storage in dedicated S3 services and clustered disk spaces.
- Development of tools for MLOps to monitor training progress, performance analysis and HPC performance.
- Technical support for partners, including software porting, containerization, and configuration of training environments.
- Development of inference technology for MMFM, including tools for GPU monitoring, fault tolerance, training recovery and inference optimization through vLLM-inspired APIs.
- Promotion of best practices in the PLGrid and EuroHPC communities.
Cyfronet actively collaborates with consortium partners, conducts application processes for EuroHPC JU computing grants, and supports the development of the European MMFM research ecosystem. - Contact:
