Rules for using computational resources

  • The resources of ACK Cyfronet AGH, including high-performance computing systems, are part of the PLGrid infrastructure.
  • Within PLGrid, we also provide access to high-performance storage resources that are part of supercomputers and computing clusters, as well as object storage services.
  • PLGrid resources and services are available to all individuals employed in Polish scientific institutions, doctoral students, students, and individuals collaborating with Polish scientists. Enterprises and public administration units can also use the infrastructure resources.
  • Access to the PLGrid infrastructure resources is obtained electronically by registering on the PLGrid Portal.
  • Individuals who wish to use PLGrid computational resources are asked to familiarize themselves with the PLGrid Portal Terms of Use.
  • For more information on accessing PLGrid resources, please visit the PLGrid Documentation. It contains advice on setting up and configuring an account, using available software, as well as a description of the working environment and tips to facilitate the use of PLGrid resources.
  • Individuals with an account in the PLGrid infrastructure are requested to report any questions through the Helpdesk system. Those who do not yet have an account can write directly to: helpdesk (at) plgrid.pl

Free access

  • Use of the PLGrid infrastructure is free of charge for the needs of Polish science within the Grant system. For other applications, access is possible on commercial terms.
  • In special cases, the use of certain resources may involve fees or additional obligations even for scientists, which we always inform about in the terms of the given service.
  • The amount of allocated resources is determined by our experts who review the grant application. As part of the grant application settlement, we ask that publications (including conference proceedings and theses) created using PLGrid infrastructure resources include acknowledgments for PLGrid. Please familiarize yourself with the detailed information on settling granted grants.
  • In order to use the service catalog available within the Research Infrastructures free of charge, we encourage you to review the documentation available in the "Research Infrastructures" section below or contact us at: operator (at) plgrid.pl

Commercial access

  • Users affiliated with a business entity use PLGrid resources on commercial terms.
  • Commercial use of most PLGrid infrastructure services is possible for a fee, based on the price lists of individual services.
  • In order to use the service catalog available within the Research infrastructures for a fee, we encourage you to review the documentation available in the "Research infrastructures" section below or contact us at: operator (at) plgrid.pl

Access to European infrastructures
