We have the ambition and the potential. What we need is a plan of action.
This is how Krzysztof Chibowski, an HPE expert, described the development of artificial intelligence in Poland in an article for AiDriven.pl.
The author presents Polish large language models (LLMs), viewing them as examples of initiatives that offer significant opportunities for Poles. On the one hand, there is Bielik, a free and open model available in the public domain, which is already being used by many individual users as well as companies. On the other hand, there is PLLuM (developed within the HIVE.AI consortium), which is expected to be integrated into the mObywateln in the near future, making it easier for citizens to access public services.
Krzysztof Chibowski also highlights the need for closer collaboration between science and business, as well as the development of AI education, in order to harness the opportunities offered by AI without creating unnecessary concerns.
