On October 30, 2025, during the first edition of Tech-ON! Krakow & Malopolska Region, Cyfronet was one of the four programme curators of the thematic tracks.
The AI Hub Track covered practical knowledge, legal and ethical aspects, as well as national and European support opportunities for innovation. Key topics included, among others, the use of large language models in company operations and examples of implementations of Polish AI-based solutions.
The event brought together science, business, and public administration, with modern technologies becoming the common denominator. One of Cyfronet’s main goals at Tech-ON! was to highlight the interconnected elements that form the innovation ecosystem of Krakow and the Małopolska region.
The role of Cyfronet, or other large computing centres (…) is crucial. The development of artificial intelligence on the one hand creates certain risks, but on the other hand it is a challenge and an opportunity. An opportunity also for employment, and also for strengthening the local economy. said the Mayor of Krakow, Aleksander Miszalski, during Tech-ON!
During the event, representatives of ACC Cyfronet AGH spoke on stage: Karol Krawentek, Patrycja Dąbrowska-Wierzbicka, and Mariusz Sterzel, while Łukasz Leszczyński moderated a discussion panel.
Tech-ON! 2025 according to the organisers, gathered around 1200 participants. Nearly 50 panels featuring approximately 70 speakers took place during the event. An integral part of the programme was the EXPO Zone, which also included Cyfronet with a stand promoting the Polish supercomputing infrastructure and the possibilities of using international infrastructure thanks to the LUMI AI Factory. An HPE Proliant XL270d Gen10 server with 8 NVIDIA Tesla V100 cards was also showcased—the same model as used in the Prometheus supercomputer.
