- Aim:
- The aim of the project was to provide and maintain a sustainable European Grid Infrastructure through the cooperation of a number of institutions in more than 40 countries, building the National Grid Infrastructures. With the latest technological advances and hardware base of the national e-Infrastructures, EGI-InSPIRE is the ideal candidate that could connect distributed computational resources (Distributed Computing Infrastructures) – such as computing clouds, networks of supercomputers and grids – for use by the scientific communities in the European Research Area.
